Stress is unfortunately something we have to face in our daily lives. We face it at work, at school and sometimes even at home. However, even if your life is relatively stress-free, there is one aspect of our lives that isn’t stress-free: driving. Between other drivers, weather conditions and road conditions, there are a lot of factors that can cause an accident. This can lead to a lot of stress while on the road. That’s why the 2020 Hyundai Accent has features to help put your mind at peace. What safety features are available? Keep on reading to find out!
Peace of mind for every driving condition
- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist. This feature uses a high-resolution camera to scan the road and look for potential collisions. When a collision is detected, the system will send out an alert and apply the brakes if necessary.
- Vehicle Stability Management. High levels of safety are achieved through this system coordinating several different active safety systems. These safety systems include Traction Control System, Electronic Stability Control, Brake Assist, Anti-lock Braking System and Electronic Brake-force Distribution.
- Hill Start Assist Control. Avoid rolling backwards when taking off from an uphill stop with this safety feature. Hill Start Assist Control uses brake pressure built up by the driver to keep the brakes on for two seconds after the pedal is released. This allows for there to be no time for rollback between moving from the brake to accelerator pedal.
- Occupant Classification System. This system classifies the weight of a passenger and will turn off or turn on the front passenger air bag. It will turn off if a passenger is under a certain weight, such as a child. It also won’t inflate it there isn’t anyone in the front passenger seat.
